How the Land Lies…
Mainly for the focus of the BBC and Londoners, but here’s how the UK and Ireland are REALLY split up…

NOTE
Birmingham is NOT in the North, it’s Midlands.
Likewise, Watford, is NOT the North.
Cambridge ISN’T in the North either.
“The South” is a relatively small area compared to the rest of the UK, or even just compared to the rest of England, so it’s really nice of us to hear so much about it when you have a few flakes of snow and manage this (courtesy of The Register).

Errr…I think you’ll find you’ve included a load of the Republic of Ireland in Northern Ireland there. Northern Ireland only occupies the North East corner of the Island of Ireland. County Donegal (which is in the Republic) occupies the North West corner. To my eye you also seem to have taken a pretty large chunk of the Republic north of Dublin into Northern Ireland too (the border is about 5 miles from Newry on the East there.
I’m not sure the Republic would be very happy that you seem to have annexed 3 or 4 of their counties.
I think you’ve misplaced Hadrian’s wall too. You’ve got the angle about right but the left hand edge should start just above where it says “United Kingdom” (a misnomer if ever there was one). You’ll have the border reivers after you!
