What’s 1000x between friends?
I just got a great correction to the PalmSource Developer Newsletter;
In Issue # 26 of the PalmSource Developer Newsletter, we inadvertently misquoted the industry analyst firm In-Stat as forecasting smartphone shipments at 266 billion units by the year 2010, compared to an estimated 54 billion units shipped in 2005. In-Stat actually forecasted 266 million units by the year 2010, and an estimated 54 million units shipped in 2005. That’s still a lot of units, and the slope of the curve represents a healthy growth in the smartphone business.
What’s a factor of 1000 between friends anyway?
