Away
Ok, yeah.. I’ve been away in Edinburgh and Switzerland visiting friends. I’ve had a great time. I’ll put some photos up soon.
New Letters
[image:1334,left,15,5,0] Well, as you can see in the image on the left I finally got a new set of letters after my name from the British Computing Society. Oh goodie.
MONEY MONEY MONEY
Woo hooo I have work
Musings…
Well, Dubya won the elections. How will the American’s cope having a chimp for a president for another 4 years? Oh well, at least I don’t have to (directly) worry about it.
Spyware is crap. Maybe McAfee 8.0i can get rid of some of it. I sent off a virus sample to NAI today for analysis. Let’s see what they come back with.
I want to go and visit some people, but I can’t afford to because I’m off to Switzerland to visit Harry at the end of the month, which I’m really looking forward to. But still, it means I’ve got no free cash available right now.
I fitted the master BT socket (an NTE5A) in my house tonight, which you aren’t meant to do yourself, but it worked straight away (I got a “line inactive” tone). That’s saved me about £75, by not having a BT engineer to come and screw two wires into the back of a socket and then screw the socket to the wall. Using nefarious tactics, my Dad managed to wangle a socket off a passing BT engineer (ie. he chatted with the engineer and the engineer gave him the socket for nothing!).
